In Adventure Runs

In the heart of the city of Colorado Springs, is one of my favorite trails known as the Cottonwood Creek Trail. One end of the trail lies just east of Academy Blvd, where it connects with the Santa Fe Trail, and extends northeast to Powers and Austin Bluffs Blvd.. At that point there is a bridge that takes you to the north side of Austin Bluffs, and the trail is no longer paved. If you run out and back, it’s a nice 10K.

It is a wide and rolling cement trail with gorgeous views along the Cottonwood Creek. The trail runs behind a recreation center (located off of Dublin which you can park at to catch the trail too), and a frisbee golf course is nearby. If your lucky, you will see some water fowl and other wildlife in the area (and not just other crazy runners!).

So if you’re interested in enjoying a nice run with the most beautiful scenery, check it out, for it is well worth it! P/S – bring a camera!😊

Sharing smiles and beautiful miles!

Cottonwood Creek is awesome and will only get better once there is a connection under Academy Blvd.
