This incredibly beautiful hotel is in the center of town, with some impressive landmarks within walking distance, i.e. The West Minister Abbey, St. James Park, and The Buckingham Palace. It also is right next to the Thames River which has an interesting path that runs along side it.
The fitness center was quite small, and had a Spa right next to it. The equipment was top of the line Precor cardio and wt.machines. It consisted of 4 treadmills, an elliptical, an all motion trainer (AMT), 2 bikes, and several types of wt. machines. There were also free wts., and a multi exercise strengthening unit with two pulley systems. The cardio equipment had individual TVs, and a touch screen panel to set up your exercise program. The room was dark, and there were no windows as it was located in the basement in the hotel.
Overall it was adequate, but considering that the appearance of this 4 star hotel was so beautiful everywhere else, the layout of the fitness center could have been much nicer looking. Personally, the best part of the London adventure was a beautiful run in St. James Park…. take note of the next blog!
